Web 2.0 properties are pages or sites that you create on sites like WordPress.com, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. They allow you to create a page on their website. This is good because if you create a page on their website, you can also link back to your website and create a backlink for yourself.

For example, if you have a website selling ceiling fans, make a Squidoo lense about how to chose a ceiling fan. You can talk about the height of the ceiling, how much space, the decor in the room, whatever is relevant. You can include pictures for examples and all sorts of information.

Once you’ve got a web 2.0 property with valuable content on it, you can go to message boards and blogs where people have questions about the topic and drop a link to your web 2.0 where it’s applicable. This builds relevant backlinks to your  web 2.0, which is in return linking to your website. The more web 2.0 properties you can create with unique, valuable content the better off your website will be.
